Residual Service Lifetime of Furnaces in Petrochemical Industry
Horsák, Libor ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Lukavský, Jiří (referee) ; Vejvoda, Stanislav (advisor)
The objectives of this work is residual lifetime of heaters in petrochemical industry. There is no comprehensive publication about this theme. This paper lists and describes the most of main phenomena that has to be taken into account in the process of determination of residual lifetime. This paper focuses on creep damage of a real heater based on deformation measurement. It describes some heater failures that could cause unplanned operation interruption however, appropriate intervention made possible safe heater operation until planned heater shutdown. No compact method is given how to determine heater residual lifetime, but a direction is given how a complex method of residual lifetime assessment of refinery heaters could be created.
Design of Interior Heating Element
Juráňová, Zuzana ; Křenek, Ladislav (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor´s thesis is design of interior heater. The aim is to design the kind of heater which will follow technical, ergonomic and esthetic requirements. There should be a possibility of using it in any room and it will be able to compete with the radiators on today´s market.
The design of the recuperative heater flue gas - air
Procházka, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor s thesis deals with thermal-hydraulic calculation of recuperative gas air he- ater. Type of heat exchanger is shell and tube. This thesis is divided to two parts. The first part apprises the most common types of heat exchangers and their use. It contains also description about basic methods and equations for heat exchanger designing. The second part is calculation of heater with software EES. Whole calculation is checked by software HTRI Xchanger Suite. At the end of this thesis are two datasheets, whitch contains designing solutions for heater with plain tubes and solution with fin tubes. Conception of heat exchanger is chosen by TEMA Standards.
Implementation of sample heating into atomic force microscope
Patočka, Marek ; Staňo, Michal (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is an implementation of a sample heating device into an atomic force microscope. The heating is performed by a Micro-Electro-Mechanical chip equipped with a heating element, which is implemented into the LiteScope microscope. The thesis describes electrical and mechanical design of the device. Proof-of-concept experiments were also conducted in order to prove functionality of the solution. Increased attention was devoted to determination of heater’s potential for use in the fields of material sciences and magnetic force microscopy.
Cavitation heater
Rovder, Juraj ; Závorka, Dalibor (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
This report is considering an equipment that is using cavitation to heat water. The theoretical part explains basic principles of its function and different types of such device. Following chapters describe a construction of used heater and an experiment carried out on this device. The results of the experiment are collected and evaluated. The final part of the thesis contains suggested adjustments of the given cavitation heater.
Heating of a nursery school
Pospíšilová, Lucie ; Čupr, Karel (referee) ; Treuová, Lea (advisor)
Bacelor thesis attends to heating concept for kindergarten. The teoretical part deals with building ventilation issue for school unit and comfortable environment. It describes heater distribution in terms of heat trasnfer and end component units. In conclusion, variants of heat source for heating are characterized. Computational part contains heating design for each room in combination with heater and hot water underfloor heating. It also solves hot water exchanger calculation for forced vantilation of specific rooms. There is heat source design, hot water production and other required devices for system, which is part of calculations as well.
Space heating of a one-story home
Kazda, Jan ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of the heat loss in a single- storey family house. The calculation is done in detail for every room. After calculation there is a suggestion of a heating system and source of heat. Next part of the thesis presents a real technology of the heating in a family house. Prices of the real and ideal systems are also compared.
Simulation of circuit-breaker trip unit
Dostál, Lukáš ; Augusta, Zbyněk (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
Securing of electrical devices is important not only to protect against destruction under the effects of electric current, but also for protection of people or animals against electric shock. With increasing of living standards goes hand in hand increasing of the electricity consumption. Therefore In the grid of low voltage, there are increasing short-circuit currents. With improving technology is posed considerable demand on the performance, security and switching capacity of circuit breakers. This thesis is oriented on development of thermal and electromagnetic switch of circuit breaker on which is put a big demand in development of new types of circuit breakers. The thesis is interesting because of comprehensive use of circuits’ breakers since it can be used in AC and DC networks with frequency of 50 Hz and 400 Hz.
Design of climatic chamber
Novák, Petr ; Šperka, Petr (referee) ; Frýza, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the construction of climatic chamber, which allows continual change of temperature of air within the range of -10 to 50 °C and continual change of relative humidity of air within the range of 10 to 90 %. The chamber is going to be connected to optical tribometer or to Mini Traction Machine (MTM). Both these devices serve for observation of tribological processes in laboratory conditions. Climatic chamber is going to approximate these laboratory conditions more to the real ones by the modification of temperature and air humidity. In the thesis there is stated a concept of particular climatic units, a concept of the arrangement of these units and consecutive constructional solving of the whole device with the emphasis on simple construction, low charges of production, assembility and small proportions of the whole construction
